Kate is thrilled to offer an affordable, quality program for island kids that includes all the training necessary to make that “triple threat” performer. With Island Theatre Kids, you can provide your child with quality part-time training in dance, singing and drama. Island Theatre Kids is proud to offer a well-rounded education not just in the disciplines of theatre, but also teaches life skills, builds confidence and provides an avenue to make lifelong friends.

Online Package

  • Ten 45 minute classes in voice, drama, dance (a blend of each per class), hosted on Zoom
  • Original story outline (script to be filled in by the participants), complete with one song and one dance number
  • Edited movie, compiled of recorded video from our classes and weekly home filming assignments

In Person Package

  • Ten 60 minute classes in voice, drama, dance (a blend of each per class)
  • Original story outline (script to be filled in by the participants), complete with one song and one dance number
  • A live show, 30-45 minutes in length

Kate’s Theatre Background

Kate Alexandra grew up on Quadra Island and was blessed with a childhood of lessons in dance, music and drama. After graduating from Carihi Secondary, Kate moved to Toronto to study at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, a prestigious “triple threat” school, where she graduated with honours in 2004.

For the last decade, Kate has been performing and teaching on the mainland as well as the Discovery Islands. You can find Kate teaming up with the Tidemark Theatre and other studios in and around Campbell River to bring you uplifting and fun classes, camps and performances for all ages.
